The JILLs, as they are known, is an association of 20 dedicated and congenial women, the goal of which is to bring some fun and joy to the residents of Sears Nursing Home and to provide financial support to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
The ladies visit the nursing home each month to play Bingo with the residents and have additional visits to provide a birthday party and a picnic for the residents.
In January, the JILLs hold a Bridge-Mah Jongg Dessert event in the homes of members and in March a luncheon and fashion show in the Grand Dining Room of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. All of the money from these two events is donated to Hospice.
